” What a fantastic area with so much to offer. And staying in the amazing Granary with its beautiful gardens is the icing (and cream) on the cake”.

Map showing The Granary at Roch Mill, Solva, St Davids and Newgale, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, West Wales.

Despite its tranquil setting the Granary at Roch Mill is very easy to find. Follow the M4 west, then continue on the A48/A40, which is a dual carriageway extending much of the way to Haverfordwest, just 7 miles from Roch. At Haverfordwest follow the Solva and St Davids signs (A487).

In Roch take the third turning on the right. It’s the road just 20m before the Victoria Inn. On Sat Nav’s it’s often marked as Roch Hill. The road takes you behind the pub, past the junior school and on for about half a mile down into the Brandybrook valley. Roch Mill and Granary lie at the bottom of the hill, straight in front of you – look for the big pond. For map readers, we’re at OS grid reference SM873223. For Sat Nav users, Postcode SA62 6JX or Lat: 51.858981 Long:-5.089362 will bring you straight to our front gate.

If you are driving down through Wales via Cardigan using SatNav you may well be directed across the Preseli Hills towards Haverfordwest. This is fine but beware of being directed even further cross-country on the back road to Roch. The roads are narrow and winding and, personally, I prefer to drive the extra few miles via the town of Haverfordwest. This takes you right past Morrisons and LIDL, which might be helpful if you need to stock up for the week.
