Come and stay at The Granary this season…

This autumn/winter season, why not treat yourself – and that special someone – to a couple’s retreat at The Granary at Roch Mill, near Newgale in Pembrokeshire.

Autumn leaves are falling – a carpet of russet and gold – make The Granary your countryside retreat.

Granary Gardens at Roch Mill, Newgale, Pembrokeshire

Long lie-ins, snuggled and warm, taking in a fresh Newgale beach-walk after breakfast, or why not leave the car parked in the drive and choose a romantic woodland stroll right from the threshold. Step outside…. Just the two of you.

Not too far to walk up the lane to The Victoria Inn. Sit in front of a log fire and enjoy the good food, with a fair selection of wines, and beers on tap.

[HI DAVE, THIS VIDEO IS EMBEDDED HERE STRAIGHT FROM AN UNLISTED PRIVATE YOUTUBE PAGE TO SHOW YOU HOW THAT WOULD FUNCTION IN COMPARISON.     THE VIDEO AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE IS UPLOADED TO YOUR LIBRARY AND PLAYS FROM THERE]

Situated inside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park the Granary is in easy reach of the coastal path, beautiful beaches and picturesque villages. Roch Castle is a photocall in the village, and coastal villages like Little Haven and Broad Haven offer charm, pubs and good food. Nearby, Druidston Haven reveals a delightful beach at low tide and, on the cliff above, the Druidston hotel provides a unique experience with superb food and spectacular views.

A scenic drive along the coast road northwards to explore Newgale, Solva harbour, Porth Clais to St Davids – the smallest city. Galleries, boutiques, restaurants and characterful pubs, St Davids is a popular attraction with the Cathedral and Bishops Palace offering a more formal backdrop.

You’ll find a welcome there for worship or to immerse yourselves in the music and sounds of the Cathedral Choir at Evensong or one of the many concerts and events at St Davids Cathedral.

Entertainment includes local bands and singer/songwriters, like The Sun Dogs, Lucy Jones, Rosey Cale, or The Saint City Jazz Band, as well as cinemas at Fishguard and Haverfordwest,  The Torch Theatre at Milford, where you’ll find theatre plays and live-screened broadcast productions from The Royal Opera House and The Royal Ballet, in London (Please check the respective websites for details).

Plenty to do…. and plenty not to do if you come and stay.

You can see what dates are available, here….

DAVE, I WORKED OUT HOW YOU CAN ADD YOUR OWN SYNCHRONISED GOOGLE CALENDAR STRAIGHT ON YOUR SITE AND IT WILL DISPLAY ON YOUR FACEBOOK IN AN EMAIL AT HPB OR ANYWHERE….. HAVE A LOOK…..     I HAVE ALSO ADDED A SAMPLE BOOKING FORM – WHICH WOULD SEND IMMEDIATELY TO YOU, WHEREVER YOU ARE – SINCE YOU WOULD HAVE A NOTIFICATION SOUND ON YOUR PHONE. THEN, WHEN THEY HAVE ALSO PAID THEIR FIXED DEPOSIT BY CLICKING ON THE PAYPAL BUTTON BELOW, THEY AND YOU WOULD RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO CONFIRM PAYMENT SO YOU COULD INSTANTLY CHANGE THE AVAILABILITY IN YOUR GOOGLE CALENDAR TO SHOW IT IS BOOKED. THE INSTANT PAYMENT RECEIPT FROM PAYPAL WOULD CONFIRM THEIR BOOKING AND HPB”S CALENDAR WOULD ALSO INSTANTLY SYNCHRONISE WITH YOUR CHANGED AVAILABILITY.        HAVE A GO – the PayPal button is just a mockup that works without taking any money.
